Guided city tour every Saturday
A calm and relaxing walk in a well-preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the tale will be made between the Estensies and the Court Stories and the literary suggestions drawn from the life and work of Ludovico Ariosto and the tales by Giorgio Bassani.
Every Saturday from 15:00 to 17:00 until 13th June 2020
MEETING: 15 minutes before departure in the courtyard of Castello Estense (next to the big well), in case of rain under the arcades of the courtyard.
PROGRAMME: the guided tour starts from the Castello Estense, city simbol, from which Corso Ercole I d’Este could be admirable, the street that straight as a sword connects the Castello Estense to the north door of the walls, built in 1492 by Ferrara architect Biagio Rossetti.
The tour goes on in the medieval square, where there are the romano-gothic Cathedral and the historic Estensies residence, now the town hall. The last stop is the Jewish district with its Synagogues, still a reference point for the Ferrara’s Jewishes.
